British Guiana expeditions, 1916-1922, 1924
Scope and Contents
Between 1916 and 1922 and again in 1924, the Department of Tropical Research worked out of field stations in British Guiana. These included Kalacoon, the first DTR field station, in 1916 and 1917, and a field station at Kartabo, where the DTR worked from 1919 to 1922 and in 1924. This subseries includes 625 glass negatives featuring images of local wildlife and landscapes, as well as images of local people, DTR staff, and visitors. Please note that this subseries includes images of dead animals. This subseries has been digitized.
