Series 1 mirrors the previously processed WCS Archives Collection 1005A, Department of Tropical Research general records; subseries 1A, 1B, and 1C here mirror series 3, 4, and 9, respectively, in that collection. Additional materials in this series concern various activities of the DTR and are either not related to a particular expedition or are related to multiple expeditions. Among these are correspondence and subject files, expedition journals kept by DTR Associate John Tee-Van, publications created or referenced by the DTR, and graphical materials and artifacts.
