Arcturus Expedition, 1925
Scope and Contents
The DTR focused mainly on oceanographic study with the Arcturus Expedition in 1925. Along the 13,600-mile voyage of the steam yacht Arcturus were station stops including the Hudson Canyon and Sargasso Sea in the Atlantic and near the Galápagos and Cocos Islands in the Pacific. There are 133 negatives in this subseries, featuring images of seascapes, wildlife, land, and DTR staff. Please note that this subseries includes images of dead animals. This subseries has been digitized.
