Scope and Contents
Short film illustrating laboratory experiments with the "frog test"--ie. using frogs to test for pregnancy in humans. "Produced by A. L. Weisman MD from the Jewish Memorial Hospital. C.W. Coates NY Aquarium. Photography by Murray Spago New York Aquarium." "Over 3,000 tests on 11,000 animals by twelve groups of workers show that this test for early pregnancy is as accurate as the A-Z or Friedman tests but is much more rapid." "The 'frogs' are stored at the Aquarium after their arrival from South Africa. Their clinical use is already established. The Jewish Memorial Hospital uses part of this laboratory for this work"--Film credits and selected intertitles.
