Scope and Content From the Series:

The series is comprised of records from Curator Stephen Spotte; additionally most files also contain documents from Spotte’s predecessor, Assistant Curator H. Doug Kemper, Jr. The materials pertain to the everyday operation of the Aquarium’s animal exhibits, various exhibit construction and renovation projects, and the NYA’s involvement in handling whales that had beached themselves on the shores of New York City and Long Island.
