Film index and related records, 1941–1947
Scope and Contents
This series consists of an index, report, and proposal produced as a result of a collection-wide survey of the New York Zoological Society's motion picture film collection by the Film Associates Inc. Files also include additional typescript and manuscript records such as correspondence, memoranda, inventories, lists, and notes relating to the storage, management and use of positive and negative film collections housed at NYZS facilities, including the “Living Natural History” films of Bronx Zoo Herpetology Curator Raymond L. Ditmars.

Access Restrictions
Please contact the WCS Archives regarding possible usage restrictions. In particular, series 1 and 2 contain items in poor physical condition (e.g. slightly brittle or crumbling pages or documents on degraded thermofax paper). Extra care and handling needs to be exercised with the originals and with duplicates where duplicates are the only surviving copy.
