Scope and Contents

From the Series:

This series contains visual materials—including but not limited to photographs, diagrams, and signage—that were likely created for publications or exhibitions by or about the Department of Tropical Research between the 1920s and 1964. Subseries titles indicate which expedition the materials are associated with; materials that do not clearly relate to a particular expedition are included in the final subseries. Any illustrations included in this series have been distinguished from the illustrations in Series 1 (i.e. the expedition illustrations) by the fact that they do not evidence the same numbering system or other identifying marks found on the expedition illustrations.
