Scope and Contents

Various footage from the 40th expedition of the Department of Tropical Research field studies in Bermuda. William Beebe and two unidentified people collecting specimens while swimming in the bay. Close up footage of an angelfish, and pipefish swimming. A long-angle shot of William Beebe with an unidentified woman and man on the shore collecting pipe fish in sargassum beds in a rock pool. William Beebe removing an octopus from a bucket, a mantis squid swimming and William Beebe with a man possibly called Bob capturing fish at night ["Night light-- Bob and I""--Note in original can for reel 102576]. It is possible that Bronson Hartley and Mr. and Mrs. Greame Kelley are the unidentified DTR staff members in this reel. Much of this footage is duplicated in reels 102576 and 102588.
