Scope and Contents

Home movie reels from Elswyth Thane of a Bermuda Oceanographic Expedition that may have been the twelfth for the Department of Tropical Research. Footage of Gloria Hollister's dog Trumps and expedition members on board the S. S. Fort Victoria. William Beebe and John Tee-Van are shown aboard a motorboat, staff embark on Nonsuch Island in Bermuda, Beebe and Tee-Van interact with a monkey, play catch with a ball, and hold up a puppy. Beebe and Tee-Van bathe the monkey. Staff observe a tortoise outside a Nonsuch building. Tee-Van and Beebe raise the Union Jack and the flag of the DTR. Beebe and staff observe captured fish in outdoor lab. Staff play a sport outside a Nonsuch building. Beebe plays with Trumps on the beach. Gloria Hollister and Trumps outside Nonsuch building. Swimming off of island. Soldiers march on street of Bermuda and a band plays for an official ceremony. Views of Bermuda from water.
