Scope and Contents

Footage from George Schaller's studies of mountain gorillas in Central Africa. Majority of footage is of mountain gorillas. Also includes footage of man visiting Carl Akeley's grave; local rangers(?) shooting at bovid (includes brief shot of apparently wounded bovid); white-necked ravens; sweeping landscape views; the Schallers' camp; George Schaller observing gorillas; gorilla scat. Original source footage for NYZS film, The Mountain Gorilla, which follows at the end of this reel.
