"Research by Peter Marler, New York Zoological Society and Jane van Lawick-Goodall. Sound recording by Peter Marler. The sounds made by chimpanzees are basically variations of four themes 1.) Hoots 2.) Barks 3.) Screams and 4.) Grunts and pants. The categories grade into one another, but nonetheless are usually acoustically distinguishable"--Film credits.
