Footage from Carleton Ray taken during his Antarctica studies. Reel 1 includes shots of the US Antarctic Research Program and various surrouding buildings, researchers entering and exiting these buildings, including the Biology Laboratory, aerial landscape shots, researchers obtaining samples from seals, researcher darting a seal to obtain samples, researchers collecting seals and US Navy helicopter appearing to transport it away.
