[Alaskan king crab, horseshoe crab, fiddler crab], 1966
Scope and Contents
A compilation reel with close-up footage of various crab species, apparently in tanks: "Alaskan king, horseshoe, fiddler, arrow, and unidentified crabs (not necessarily in this order)"--Original can label. Some of the footage is similar to Jocelyn Crane's field studies on the social behavior of crabs. There are additional shots of crab exhibits at the New York Aquarium. The reel ends two unidentified researchers drawing a sample from a horseshoe crab, possibly at the Osborn Laboratories of Marine Sciences.
