Scope and Contents

The Department of Tropical Research's first sound film, a summary of their wildlife field work in Venezuela, intended for a Venezuelan juvenile audience and produced by the Creole Petroleum Corporation, owned by ESSO Standard Oil. There is no known English language version of this film. Includes introduction in Spanish by William Beebe. "La siguiente película se presenta por cortesía del Dr. Beebe, director del Departamento de Investigaciones Tropicales de la Sociedad Zoológica de Nueva York, quien con sus colaboradores la Srta. Jocelyn Crane, zoóloga investigadora y el Sr. Henry Fleming, entomólogo ha realizado cuatro largas visitas a Venezuela. La Creole Petroleum Corporation se complace en haber tenido la oportunidad de cooperar con el Dr. Beebe y sus investigaciones y estudios sobre la fauna Venezolana y gratamente reconoce la bondad que han tenido públicas las entretenidas escenas que a continuacion pasaran por pantalla."--Spanish credits.
